At PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt, the leading innovation fair, they expect 75 new products. And 25 of them have already registered.
One of them is our Summer Sun !

Lilium ‘Summer Sun’ (LILY LOOKS) is a brand-new potted lily from the LA range developed by Arroyo Rights. These LA lilies, the result of a cross between Longiflorum and Asiatic lilies, have been bred for heat tolerance, intense colour, and upward-facing blooms. ‘Summer Sun’ delivers on all fronts with its striking, vibrant yellow flowers that face upwards and bloom for approximately 16 days. The flowers also feature a pleasant, lightly sweet fragrance.

The glossy green foliage remains attractive all the way down the stem without yellowing – a key advantage for ornamental value in pots. Thanks to its strong heat resistance, ‘Summer Sun’ is particularly well-suited to summer conditions, making it an excellent choice to both consumers and retailers.

The variety was developed by MAK/Arroyo from ‘t Zand and selected as a seedling. Wetering Potlilium B.V. from Den Hoorn will bring this lily to market starting July 2025. Lilium ‘Summer Sun’ is protected by plant breeder’s rights and had been submitted for evaluation as Best Novelty.
